Displays uses GPS, moving map and weather radar and is a private aircraft oriented display.<\/p><p><strong>BOEING COMPANY \u2013<\/strong> Everett, WA Sept 2006 to September 2009<\/p><p>787 Avionics Problem Report (PR) Manager.\u00a0 The main function of this position was the proper disposition of Avionics Integration Problem Reports. It required knowledge of the 787 Avionics Systems, the functional teams and leadership capabilities in assembling the necessary people to resolve the issues.<\/p><p>\u00a0In addition and to facilitate in this operation this position requires the PR Manager to act as the \u00a0Engineering Review Board (ERB) Administrator. The primary role of the Avionics ERB is to provide managerial and technical oversight over the Avionics and CCS integration center problem reporting process.\u00a0 The ERB manager convened formal scheduled meetings as deemed appropriate, however, the ERB functions were performed in real-time without convening a formal meeting when it is cost or schedule effective to do so.\u00a0 The ERB membership included supplier representatives, engineers, Management, the ERB Administrator, and Avionics\/CCS Senior Management.\u00a0 The position meant conduct the ERB meetings, maintain schedules and tools, and \u00a0lead and assisted in the everyday running of the ERB.\u00a0 This\u00a0 included regular pre-coordination of problem report status and data with the Avionics and CCS engineering team to ensure smooth flow through the ERB process.\u00a0 In addition, the position \u00a0required consolidation and preparation of test related metrics from Supplier integration centers for review at the ERB meetings to aid in the tracking of progress towards completion of integration testing, and communication of status via metrics and issues logs to the greater Avionics and CCS team.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>BOEING COMPANY \u2013<\/strong> Ridley Park, PA June 2005 to January 2006 under contract through Foster Design<\/p><p>Supported software test of the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft avionics suite. Coordinated requirements with software engineers and test equipment to validate new software revisions of the V-22 aircraft avionics systems.<\/p><p><strong>SMITHS AEROSPACE<\/strong>-Grand Rapids, Michigan June-November 04 under contract through Judge Technical Services<\/p><p>Assisted a systems integration team in writing a test equipment requirements document and a system\u00a0verification plan for the Boeing 7E7 avionics platform. Effort also included the creation of a &#8220;fishbone&#8221; style storyboard that tracked the combined tasks of hardware, software and system integration efforts through the development of the platform out to the first flight.\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>HONEYWELL AIR TRANSPORT SYSTEMS<\/strong><strong>&#8211;<\/strong>Phoenix, Arizona Jan 04 to June 04 under subcontract through Manpower Technical Services<\/span><\/p><p>Performed Export Compliance Engineering as a part of the globalization effort. Involved a team effort to assure that all aspects of the Export Licensing were reviewed correctly. Required previous knowledge of Honeywell products and technology.<\/p><p><strong>HONEYWELL AIR TRANSPORT SYSTEMS<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><strong>&#8211;<\/strong>Phoenix, Arizona 12\/98 to 1\/2\/02 under subcontract through Manpower Technical Services<\/span><\/p><p>On business jet display unit performed systems level display graphics design work coordinating customer requirements from their application specifications to system and software level requirements documents and coding platforms.<\/p><p>Responsible for the Quality Test effort for both a Display Unit(DU)and a Control Display Unit(CDU) projects for 737 and 777 aircraft\u2019s. On the DU program met on a daily basis with test technicians managing the Qual Test program test results: reporting to the customer in the form of failure reports and resolving the issues. On the CDU program transferred the lessons learned from the DU program as well as worked as a team player facilitating qual test issues and preparing the Qual Test report.<\/p><p>The first contract position involved managing the system requirement flow down for the Aviation Services display aspect of the Total Aircraft Information System project. Finalized Products Requirements document and worked the design issues between the customer and existing capabilities. Coordinated design tradeoffs between display design experts, software requirements and the customers\u2019 needs. Chaired a weekly meeting on the display effort. Tasks included evaluation of COTS notebook and CE laptop and palm top computers.<\/p><p><strong>ROCKWELL COLLINS AVIONICS AND COMMUNICATION DIVISION<\/strong>-Cedar Rapids, Iowa 1\/97 to 11\/98 Systems Engineer under Contract through Donatech<\/p><p>Systems Integration of DU9800 display unit Test Station. Wrote procedures and executed system design on new display unit test station. Required knowledge of LabVIEW, avionics systems and systems design process. Created automated test software from start to finish. Worked with DO160 and DO178B and Boeing Power Quality documents.<\/p><p>Wrote the Software Requirements Specification, the Interface Control Document and Systems Test Description for the simulator additions to the Flight Management System for the C-5 aircraft. Coordinated the effort between the team members to assure customer requirements were fully addressed. Used Interleaf to construct document to Rockwell configuration control. Ran system level tests on the C-5 Hot Bench.<\/p><p>Used DOORS to create a GPS artillery fuze systems requirements database. Evaluated Litton and Honeywell Ring Laser Gyro systems. Recommendations and input resulted in successful systems and saved the project office over $200,000 in flight test dollars. Acted as Flight Test Engineer for the LANTIRN Navigation Pod and Improved Data Modem testing.<\/p><p>Performed microprocessor debug, integration and test on a radar system at Echo Range. Made corrections in the microprocessor code and these fixes solved functional problems in the unit.<\/p><p>Missile Hardware-In the Loop simulation analysis, studied GPS capabilities and inertial navigation system performance in relation to missile performance. Generated a simulation proposal for <span style=\"color: #808080;\"><a style=\"color: #808080;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.strategic-air-command.com\/missiles\/Aircraft-Launched_Missiles\/Agm-154_JSOW_missile.htm\">the Joint Stand OFF Weapon missile program<\/a>.<\/span> Made system recommendations for the guidance system for that missile.
